Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This policy explains how Skye (有空专注, formerly “不玩手机”) processes information when providing on-device focus tools, optional accounts, and related services.
Information we process
On-device features
On-device features such as blocking plans, focus timers, and Search Direct do not require an account. The app stores necessary settings and usage data on your device, including:
- Appearance, language, default opening screen, and reminder settings;
- Blocking plan names, time periods, selected apps and categories, and unlock methods;
- Focus timer settings, local history, achievements, white noise preferences, and daily focus statistics;
- Search tool favorites, recently used tools, and search counts;
- Pro entitlement status and cached holiday data.
The app, category, and website tokens selected through Screen Time authorization, and the identities and usage durations of specific other apps in system reports, are not uploaded to our servers. Account services do not provide blocking plan backup or migration between devices.
Optional accounts and focus history
When you choose to sign in with Apple, we process the identity credentials returned by Apple and use a hash of your Apple user identifier to create an app account, user number, and sign-in session. We do not collect the name or email address returned by Sign in with Apple. The server stores the credentials necessary to maintain sign-in and revoke authorization.
Completed focus sessions started after sign-in can be saved to your account, including the focus mode, start and end times, duration, and associated achievement identifiers. This information is used to display account focus history and earned achievements. Local history from before sign-in is not automatically imported. Plan names, blocked targets, and usage details of other apps are not uploaded with these records.
Optional usage sharing
After you confirm your consent to share usage information, the app uses a randomly generated installation identifier to send information to our servers about feature usage and action results, event times, app and operating system versions, language, entry points, and fixed error codes. We use this information to understand feature usage and improve the product. These records do not include plan names, search terms, Screen Time tokens, the identities or usage of other apps, or free-form logs.
You can turn off “Help Improve Skye” under “Improvement & Data” in Settings. Turning it off stops further collection and clears analytics records waiting to be sent from your device. It does not automatically delete history already received by the server. Signing in does not by itself link usage information to your account; linking requires a separate choice. Earlier anonymous records are not retroactively assigned to your account.
Purchase verification, subscriptions, and rewards
Apple processes purchases through the App Store. We do not receive payment account details such as bank card numbers. To verify purchases, deliver entitlements, maintain subscriptions, and handle refunds or rewards, the app and Apple may provide our servers with transaction information signed by Apple. Necessary fields include products, transaction and subscription chain identifiers, purchase and signing times, amounts and currencies, quantities, offers, ownership, and renewal or revocation status.
The server does not retain the original signed transaction payloads it receives. It stores the necessary verified fields and the transaction identifiers needed to query subscription status with Apple. These necessary transaction services are handled separately from optional usage sharing. Being signed out or turning off usage sharing does not prevent purchases or their necessary verification. Purchase credentials are not used for advertising tracking across apps.
When you use invitations or gifting, we process account invitation codes, invitation relationships, eligibility checks, reward and gift status, and necessary transaction links to issue, use, or revoke entitlements correctly and prevent duplicate claims.
Problem reports and contact messages
When you send a problem report, suggestion, or contact message, we receive the category and message you provide, optional contact details, the app version, and a submission identifier. We use this information to receive, investigate, and respond to your message. Messages are stored separately and are not automatically linked to an account or analytics identity. Signing in or enabling usage sharing is not required.
Device permissions and notifications
The app requires Screen Time / FamilyControls authorization to block apps. App blocking during focus sessions also depends on this permission. You can revoke authorization in system settings; the related blocking features will then no longer work properly.
Plan and focus reminders require system notification permission and are scheduled on your device according to the reminder types you choose. Turning off reminders does not affect blocking plans or timers.
Marketing messages are managed separately from local reminders. Only when this feature is available and you separately agree to receive messages does the app register a notification device token, language, and subscription preferences with the server so messages can be sent through Apple's push notification service. Turning the feature off revokes the subscription and removes the device token from the server. Linking to analytics or an account requires the corresponding separate choice. Marketing push messaging is not currently enabled for sending.
Third parties and network requests
When you enter keywords in Search Direct and open a third-party app or website, the keywords and necessary parameters are sent to that third party and are subject to its privacy policy.
Apple provides services including Screen Time authorization, sign-in, App Store purchases, and system notifications. Depending on the features you use, we exchange with Apple the information necessary for sign-in verification, transactions, or notifications.
To determine Chinese statutory holidays and adjusted working days, the app may access public holiday data services. Accounts, focus history, purchase verification, optional analytics, and messages you choose to send access servers we operate for the purposes described above. The receiving network service may process your IP address and basic network information to establish a connection or apply security rate limits.
Data storage, retention, and deletion
Local settings, blocking selections, and local records are stored on your device or in the App Group. The account, transaction, analytics, reward, and contact data described above are stored on servers we operate for their respective purposes. Online focus history, analytics records, necessary transaction records, and user messages are not currently deleted automatically based on their age. Historical campaign and attribution records are also retained until the relevant deletion process is carried out.
You can delete local content such as plans or stop using the app. Signing out revokes the sign-in session and hides account history, but does not automatically delete cloud records. Uninstalling the app is also not equivalent to deleting information on the server.
You can request account deletion through the account section in the app. Account deletion removes online account information, account focus history, and rewards, deletes online analytics records that have been linked to that account, and revokes linked push subscriptions. Anonymous records that have not been linked to the account and independently submitted contact messages are not automatically deleted when the account is deleted.
We retain the minimum necessary hash markers, deletion records, and transaction links to prevent old requests or backups from restoring deleted data and to prevent duplicate processing of invitations, rewards, or refunds. Necessary transaction verification records are handled separately from optional analytics records and are not deleted when analytics is turned off.
Backup copies expire according to their respective rotation schedules. Completing online deletion does not immediately erase all data in older backups. When a backup is restored, recorded withdrawals and deletions are applied again. You can use the contact details below for privacy inquiries and related requests.
Children's privacy
This app does not actively collect personal information from users under the age of 13. If a minor uses the app, supervision by a parent or guardian is recommended.
Policy changes
We may update this privacy policy. The latest version and update date will be displayed on this page, which is linked from the app.
